This is an old revision of the document!

Welcome to Monster Farm! This roleplay was created as a kinky, fun project by Mood. My goal is to make a roleplay where people have creative freedom while also having chances for failures that can lead to interesting plots. Using this guide, I hope to make the character creation and introduction process more streamlined.

Step 1: Do you have an idea for your character? If not, that's the first step. If you don't have one, there are several ways to come up with them! You can start with browsing idea-spam for some nice visuals (optional but nice) or prompts, you can think about scenes you'd like to write, you can start spit-balling ideas, or find your own way to get an idea for a character! Don't limit yourself unless you want to at this point, just come up with something you think will be fun.

Step 2: This step is optional, but often helps with the following steps. For this step, write up a brief description of your character's defining traits, goals, and motivations. Include important details here that you think will help. For example, you could mention that your character is obsessed with slimes and had a large family growing up. This character's motivation stems from wanting to feel secure, and we can say their goal is to make a living in the dungeon and retire wealthy enough not to need to work ever again.

Step 3: Now it's time to fill out the character form, found below. The channel human-status has multiple examples of human characters made by Mood. Utilizing the guides in information, you should be able to fill this out (and if not, feel free to ask questions). It is helpful to remember the information you wrote in Step 2, as that information will help you pick your stats, skills, spells, and titles.

Step 4: Time to get your character checked! You can either DM it to @The Mood is Write or post it in plotting. Either way, Mood will tell you if anything needs to be changed. Post your character form again once the changes are made! Once you are approved, you can post your character to human-status and move on to the next step.

Step 5: At long last, it's time to insert your character into the world of Monster Farm! You can make a post in any of the Rummy Cobbles locations or you can post in plotting and ask if anyone would like to play with your wonderful new character.
